Certification Overview
The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, MCSE, credential is
the premier certification for professionals who analyze the
business requirements and design and implement the
infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows Server
2003 System.
Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring,
and troubleshooting network systems.
Target Audience
The MCSE 2003 and MCSA 2003 certifications are appropriate for:
• Systems engineers, Technical support engineers, Systems
analysts, Network analysts, Technical consultants
• Systems administrator, Network
administrator
Prerequisites
MCSE and MCSA candidates should also have at least one year of experience
implementing and administering network operating systems and
desktop operating systems, and/or the A+ and Network+
certifications.
Certification Requirements
MCSE candidates on the
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 track are required to satisfy the
following requirements:
• 4 networking system exams, 1 client operating system exam, 1 design exam,
1 elective exams
MCSA candidates on the
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 track are required to satisfy the
following requirements:
• 2 networking system exams, 1 client operating system exam, 1 design exam,
1 elective exams
